Here we show two poems that describe how Chr. Th. Palesis saw his role as a folk poet:
Για όσους δεν με ξεύρουσιν / For those who do not know me
Ποιος είμ’ εγιώ / Who I am

Includes:
(1) Έτσι λοής είσαι τζι εσού / This is how you are too,
(2) Στ’ όρομάν μου, για σέναν / In my dream, about you,

A narrative poem written to illustrate the traditional Cypriot village wedding customs. It tells the story of Konstanti and Katerina who are in love but never confess their love to each other, until Konstanti sends his father to ask Katerina’s hand in marriage from her father. We provide here a PDF version of the poem in the poet’s own hand-writing.
